You!

Well I know I was supposed to update a while ago, but I just didnt have the time to sit down and do it. Well I have the time I guess I just didnt feel like it for a while. That is partly due to the fact that when Im at the computer lately Im either looking for a job, or playing Dragon Warrior 4. YES Dragon Warrior 4, the Nes 8-bit roleplaying game from years and years ago. I love that game so much, and I found a site that you can download a program, and then in the program you just click on a game and it loads it. Its more simple than Nesticle or those other emulators. Anyway Im on chapter 5 so Im half way done

Other than looking for a job and playing games, I havent done a whole lot. I have found where Target is, so I made two trips down there. I found where Circuit City is, and a few other stores. I dont need to go there yet since I dont have a job and thus no extra money to spend. The grocery store is rather close to me, about a mile or so. It is the Safeway. I wish I knew where Albertsons is, but I dont. Office Depot is down the hill to the west. It is a big fucking hill, but I probably mentioned that before if I talked to you when I walked downtown I came up the hill which is not much fun. It is like hiking to horsetooth rock. Well steeper than that. Anyway

The first week I got here wasnt too bad. I went to the store got my stuff, unpacked half my stuff, and just got settled. I met Richard who lives in the room next to mine. He is like 40 something. I find him quite annoying and I dont really like him much. I feel kinda intimated by him. He used to be an alcoholic and heroin addict. He tells me about his meetings he goes to and stuff like that. Stuff I really dont care to know about. Even though I am interested in the behavioral treatment, I just dont want to hear about it from him. He has ADHD or something since he talks and talk and talks. I try to avoid him so I dont have to talk. Hes usually gone though, which makes everything down here rather nice.

About the house The house is over 100 years old, there are 4 levels the basement, where I live. The main floor which Jane lives. And upstairs where two other guys live, and the top floor. The basement has the laundry room, a bathroom, and a small kitchen. The kitchen is really small, but it is ok since I dont need to cook huge meals and if I did I would have to make them and refrigerate them in the middle. So in the hallway I have a frig. It isnt a good frig considering it is old and today when I woke up it wasnt even working. Thats a wonderful way to start the day The main floor has everything a normal house has. The living room isnt finished yet, and Jane says it will be finished and for everyone to use. I find that rather unlikely since it hasnt even changed a bit since I moved in. She also says she wants to replace the windows and clean the laundry room. Good luck with that I dont think that area can be cleaned since it is full of so much crap. Ive only washed clothes once so far and that was a pain in the ass. The washer, for me didnt complete each cycle, I had to turn the knob a little to make it go to the next cycle. But everyone else seems to have no problems with it. The dryer seemed to work for me.

My room isnt bad. I wish I had a living room, so I could have a few big items in there where they belong stuff like my movies and maybe my books. Oh well I guess I can live kinda cramped for a while. It isnt really cramped, just awkward. Im trying to get everything cleaned so I do have more room, but then again. Im lazy. I really would like a LCD monitor, then I could put my computer on top of my desk instead against the front of it. It does take up quite a bit of space. When I get my pictures taken, I will have it all posted.

Other than the computer area being cluttered the rest of the room is ok. I took out the trash, which has been piling up in my room since I got here. That opened up a lot of room. In Seattle you have recycle like 60% of the trash or something. Im guessing 60% because the trash can is about half the size of the recycle bin. But most things can be recycled. All paper can, and most plastics can. Which makes it really easy; All that goes in the trash are paper towels and food crap. I think every place should be set up like Seattle It would clean up a lot of the trash.

So On to my school On Wednesday the 13th I went to an open house at my school. There I got to meet the head of the department and talk with her for a while. All the group stuff was meant for prospective students, not for people like me. But oh well, it was nice seeing the campus and meeting a few people. I also got a bag of goodies, which had a new coffee cup in it. I was happy I got a new cup since my old Starbucks cup has to be thrown away due to a crack in it. I will hopefully be having a few meetings next week to make sure everything is going well and I will be all ready to start on September 8th.

On Friday I had to go to a temp job center and fill out paper work, and take a few tests. I had to do this because they are the hiring service for the jobs that I applied to. And once I finished all that my information was sent to the place that is looking to hire people. So on Monday hopefully I will have a job interview with the job place I want. It would only be a temp job, but it would be nice to get some training. It is called an Intake Specialist. What I would be doing is taking calls from people who want to get into the program. The program is a behavioral treatment program that is conducted mainly over the phone for people who want to quit smoking. What I would be doing is taking the initial calls, getting information and making sure they are eligible for the program. I know it doesnt seem like a great job, but it would get me some experience in the psychology field, it would be 30 hours a week and it is 12.50 per hour. All pluses! And you never know I may be able to stay on after the temp date is over and move on up to counselor

Im also going to fill out like 10 Starbucks applications and turn those in tomorrow. There are a few within a mile of where I live, so I could walk there. I dont like to drive much because of the hill, and also if I leave my parking spot, there is a chance that I wont get it again for a while. I dont like parking on the road I get worried.

Then after the Starbucks, if I need to I will start applying to lesser places, like Safeway and stuff. I really do want the intake job since it is a lot of money. Making a decent amount now, and being able to save a few thousand dollars a year will make my load payment a lot easier. If I could pay like 5000 off my loan the minute I have to pay my first payment, I would cut a ton of potential interest payment. But that would only happen with a job that I get paid 10+ per hour and 30 hours a week.
Once I do get a job that pays pretty well I will totally be moving out of this place. I want a place where I have a living room, and stuff! I will move also if Andrew does decide to come to Seattle. That would be great if he could though. It would be nice seeing him again and having someone here.

I wish Suji was here though. I know she has to finish school, and I know that there isnt anything we can do. What we want would not really be the best choice at the moment in life .I need to do school, and so does she. Once she is done, I will be close to being done with my Masters.

Well this has gotten pretty long. I dont have much else to really say. Im doing fine and I will be doing fine. Once I get a job I will be doing better. And once school starts and I have a job and everything will be set for the most part.

For the record Im fine
Off the record I just miss Suji and everyone else
For the record I like UO
Off the record I like DW4 tons and tons
For the record Taco bell is 60 cents more here
Off the record 60 cents isnt a lot, but add that up over a year!
